Broken valve cover stud?

How do i fix this and where do i get the parts?

Also what are the most common things that go wrong with prelude engines?

Mine has 184,000 miles and stuff is just starting not feel right.
I have readjusted my lifters twice now this is the time i broke the stud. the car struggles at idle sometimes bouncing from like 800rpm down to 600rpm and back up. i want to take it somewhere and have everything just looked over. How much do you think this will cost and are there any specific places i should have checked?

92 Prelude Si 5-speed
184,000 miles
Relatively new transmission/clutch 30,000 miles on it since replacment
New wire set
Bosch Platinum 2 Plugs
New Timing Belt, Balance Shaft, and everything else timing related
Has header, highflow cat, and Tsudo 2.5" Stainless cat-back exhaust

if any of that matters

Re: Broken valve cover stud?

First off, get rid of the platinum plugs... It is criticle to performance that you use the MFG. recommended plugs...NGK's... also good plug wires, correct distributor and rotor, Honda uses two different types. The engines are tempormental if you get off the path with too many different aftermarket parts, so watch what you buy. If fuel injected, $5.00 worth of vacuum hose will save you a world of headache. Idle control solenoid, on the front of the throttle body housing, remove it, clean it with carb cleaner, let it dry and a shot of WD-40 and your idle issue should be fixed. also, if the idle runs high, the high speed idle control valve on the back of the throttle body housing needs the same treatment... there is a coolant bowl on the bottom of it that is notorious for a cooling system sludge dump. take the valve off...3-bolts... disconnect the two small cooling lines, remove the bowl from the bottom...2 screws... and clean it real good.
