i just raced a srt-4 and my cars out of breath!!

well let me be the first to say the srt-4 is faster than i imagined. man does that car move! well i just getoff the freeway and i'm about to turn left to go home and a srt-4 just cruises by me. so my ears point up and i take it as an insult(how dare a srt-4 drive past me ) he looks over like, "try me you over weight beast". so i follow him and he punches it, so i follow right behind him and gaining he slows down fast the light turns red. so i stay behind him light turns green he floors it i follow, my 1st gear is definitely stronger than his as i was about to hit him so i let off and just shifted to 2nd, 2nd gear i was having a hard time passing him so i'm just 1/4 car length behind him, light turns red again and it looks as if i'm gonna be lined up with him, and that sucks cause my tranny is going bad and i don't wanna launch. but a car comes out of the nowhere and gets in front of me so i get behind him. light turns green and he punches it, again i almost run into the back of him cause my 1st gear is stronger he gets in the other lane and gives me room i stall into 2nd because i'm tryna avoid the grind, but at full throttle he's half a car length behind me and stays there, and i'm like what the f%$&k. then comes third gear and its over i put a car length and a half on him in about 3-4 seconds and since were on a 35mph street(no worries no cars around guys) i shut down cause this can be cop city. so i pull into the qfc store and he follows. he asked me were i was coming from, and we started talking, i told him my buddy's on the af forum have lots of respect for this car, and i do now especially! i looked inside the car and the interior is crap, the front cluster is nice though. he says he was really close to getting a 97 vr4 and mentioned he's installing a bov tomorrow. we shook hands and went our ways. man that car is fast!

well I have to admit if thats what happens that was a damn good kill for you but that sounds like a crappy run do to the [traffic, it would have been better if you guys lined up at a light but none the less good one

Kingpin, just fyi, the srt4 is a dodge neon on steriods...not a saturn.

crappy run meaning not being able to line up with him, but if went on like you said and he had basically a car head start and you still beat him by car and a half in your story you probably would have beat him pretty bad, but who knows on your awd launch you could have done good but grind your second or even miss and things could have changed, but once again good kill.

Its to bad that you couldn't get lined up for a nice jump off the line, but you're right about those being nimble little cars. Actually nimble isn't right - deceptively fast would be better choice.

yeah your right about that, cause the first time i had to let off and shifted to 2nd and couldnt gain on him, so yeah you got a point something could have went wrong.
