Re: Drain and fill - radiator question help please!

does anyone know anything about radiators? My Pontiac Grand Am 1999SE has been needing fill ups of antifreeze lately. The other day, there was a pool of antifreeze under the car. No obvious blown hoses and I now understand that there is no cap on the radiator. Any suqqestions? My husband is useless with cars and I constantly get ripped off with repairs. I am looking for ideas of where to check for problems. I am afraid to drive the car. Thanks much.

Re: Drain and fill

Welcome to AF!

A new thread should be started for a new question. The engine size should also be given.

Not to sound like a smart-ass here, but I would look directly over the puddle on the ground. 95% chance the leak is from something over the puddle. 5% chance the coolant is running along something else and then driping there, so either way you're pretty close to the leak.

Re: anyone know anything about radiators?

Good Idea, Move Done !

Yeah I'd check the sides of the radiators for stains of coolant. If you are adding that much coolant it could be your lower intake leaking.
