Question power window problemo

hey, I am hoping for some input from you guys/gals out there

I am wondering where to start on diagnosing a problem with my driver side rear power window

it has an intermittant problem where I may hit the window down button and it won't do anything, no movement, no noise, nothing

OR it may roll down, and then when I want to roll it up, then it won't work

OR it may work just fine, it's seemingly random

it works properly sometimes, and others it's totally dead -using either the driver switch or the switch on the door itself

therefore I'm guessing that it's not a fuse (obviously) and guessing it's not the button, 'cause both buttons either work or not

could it be a loose connection at the actuator??

basically I want to know where to begin tearing stuff apart

thanks a million for any advice

Power window problem

I have the same problem with the same window. About to try to figure it out. If you find a solution post it. I'll do the same. Thanks and good luck.

Power window problem

Bad switch. I swapped it to the passenger side door and that window went down on its own before I could get the driver side door back together.

I just reread your post and realized that you said neither switch works when it's acting up. You may have a different problem than me because the front switch always worked.
