How many subs? also Alpine Type R?
right now i got 2 sony p5's (5 sided red one) i know the subs aren't good so plz dont start bagging on them, but im askin, how many subs should u have for a decent "punch" or "hit" when i sat in my friends car that had one sub at 300 it was bass, not that loud, but there was lotta bass, with 2 subs it gets loud, with 3 subs it gets really loud and u can feel all the bass inside of you lol, from what i've heard before, it doesn't matter how many subs you have, but from like a few houses away they all sound the same, i guess the more subs makes it hit only harder inside right?
I wanna know what u guys prefer? 1 sub at 300 watts 2 subs at 300 watts each 3 subs at 300 watts each o yea and is the Alpine Type R sub any good? |

Re: How many subs? also Alpine Type R?
no doubt 3 subs at 300 watts each. Im too tired to explain why but it is just better. Or get one sub at like 1000Watts :\

Re: How many subs? also Alpine Type R?
More subs means more displacement, more displacement means louder bass, inside and outside the car. You can get more displacement several different ways though. A better sub with more excursion, more power, or multiple subs. Really your question doesn't have any merit, because my single 12" sub has the displacement of 3+ crappy 12" subs, 2 decent 12" subs, or like 5 generic 10" subs.
The type-r is a decent sub, get one and port it and you should be happy.
