put a sparkplug in one of the wires and ground it and see if you have spark. is it a throttlebody or does it have a fuel rail? listen at the gas tank and see if you can hear the fuel pump run for 2 seconds when you first turn the key on.

Does it run good until it warms up then dies when coming to a stop or at speeds less than 25mph? If so, it may be the sensor located in the transmission. (I can't remember name) but it controls the downshifting of the transmission and once the fluid gets warmed up and moving it will cause the switch in the sensor to get stuck and won't allow the vehicle to shift properly.
I had to have a transmission shop replace the sensor at the tune of about $250. There is a way to bypass it but it will cause additional wear and tear on your engine and cause it to wear out prematurely.

Good Luck

Could be the ignition control module failing at higher temperatures and causing a stall and a cranking no start. You could simulate the heat with a blow dryer.

This is called the TCC or Torque Converter Clutch. You can disable it by unplugging the four wire plug on the driverside of the trans. but it can cause more damage and burn the trans up. I don't think that this is your problem though, because if this is what is bad you would be able to start the engine in park or neutral. This has no bearing on the engine if the trans is disengaged. I think you may have a fuel pump issue.

Would the TCC also cause the van not to start after sitting for 8+ hours? I've had to have my van towed twice from work because it would not start, however, I also have the stalling problem and have had many sensors/modules replaced which has not solved the problem.

if you crank the engine over after it dies and you have the air cleaner cover off, you will see the fuel spray into the throttlebody. alternating between injectors. if you see this happening you probably aren't getting spark from the coil.or it would start. some 94's fire the injectors from the ecm(computer), so you would need to look in book for the wiring diagram. if it fires from the computer than the computer may be bad. but when this happens it usually will not start at all.

That would be the Torque Converter lockup solenoid.

Check the Fuel Pump, get a fuel pressure tester (About $40 at autozone) and hook it up see if there is any fuel pressure when it won't start.
