85 CRX cluth problem, PLEASE HELP!

I just bought an 85' Honda Civic CRX... The Clutch is Really Really hard to push in...it makes my leg sore... any ideas of why its like that?!?! also, it over heats (unless im going down the highway) but i think i got that figured out that it is a sensor that turns on the fan... anyways... The clutch pedal is hard to push in! anything that you know that i dont that could help me would be great.... please send responses to: [email protected]

My guess is the clutch linkage needs to be adjusted.
