Possible Prelude owner in next 5 months
Im 15 now, but am verrry enthusiastic about cars. I had planned to get a Dodge Stealth TT in the near future, but my parents think that it isn't a good first car. (my bro has one).... So i think ive decided on a prelude. My bro also ownd a Integra RS (94) with mods and i loved the way it drove...
Im more focused i think on a 4th gen, but a 5th gen would be really nice... should i look for V-tec or not???? also what years have brougt in faster 1/4 times, because i plan to do some mods on it, such as: Exhaust Intake Headers INtake manifold Short shifter Straight piping (no cat) Pully's thats bout it to the engine i can think of thats fiarly cheap... OR im lokoing for a car that already has some of that stuff listed above, and then i could add more intense parts onto it... any reccomendatoins... or is a prelude not a good way to roll first? |

if you get a 4th gen, definitely look for a vtec. all 5th gens are vtec btw.
the 95 Prelude VTEC (4th gen) was the fastest prelude on the us market. Preludes do make good first cars. It was my first so i'm speaking from experience.

don't look for the 95 in specific, any 93-96 vtec prelude will do you good.
as for aftermarket parts...they cost just about the same as civic and integra parts. they're just a bit harder to come across.

aftermarket parts for a prelude. yeah right you can find them any were. its easier to find things for a Vtec then a SI and that i was you are looking at so don't worry. Ebay has the parts like none other. Just make sure you are not going to get screwed and end up not getting the part
