driving with an open N2O tank
is it bad for your N20 system or your car to have it installed and drive around with it open, with nitrous in the lines;ready to race??

no...that's why the solenoids are there. I don't think it's the best idea, ESPECIALLY since i'm 99% sure it's illegal to drive around on the street with the bottle open.
Also, it'd be best to have a purge valve, so when you close the tank you can get rid of the nitrous in the line. The only negative thing i see happening would come from an improper installation of the system or a faulty something or other. One last thing, there are remote bottle openers so that you can open and close the bottle by just pressing a button. And i'm not sure, but that may constitute as driving with an open bottle as far as the law is concerned. hope this helps. |

I usually leave mine closed (remote bottle opener), and purge the extra spray out of the lines. Keep in mind that you have over 1000psi pushing up against those expensive solenoids - causing premature wear/failure.
