This kid I used to go to school with died this weekend. Why? For being an idiot. He let this 15 year old kid (didn't even have a permit) drive his truck while he and his friend stood up in the back of it. Kid hits a pothole, doesn't know what to do, flips the truck. Two kids in the back die and the driver goes to the hospital and is in critical condition.

I'm not saying it's good he died, but death happens. Now Dani talked to this boy a couple of times in her freshman year. After that he changed schools. All her friends knew him though and were decent friends with him. So she's been bawling her eyes out around her friends and around me for sympathy. I told her I don't understand what the big deal is, you didn't even know him. So she tells me off repeatedly saying I won't support her. So I'm like I didn't say that, I just said I don't understand.

Now she won't talk to me.

I guess I'm just an asshole.

No you're not. I had something like that happen in my high school. Some freshman took a go-kart on a running/rollerblading trail (it was paved) Long story short, he runs off the trail (accidently) and basically decapitates himself on a broken barbed wire fence. Everybody is crying their eyes out, and I'm one of the only people not, because I know the LAW is "No motorized vehicles on the trail." I'm trying to tell people this, and everybody thinks I'm an asshole.

Well, the law says many different things.In these cases it's warranted.But,people are crying because ,to see someone die so pointlessly,is very sad.To see someone die so young is indeed tragic.No matter how foolish the circumstances.Who knows what they would have accomplished if their life had not been erased so soon,even if it was their own fault.

Yea, that was pretty stupid thing to do. But I don't think the kid deserved to die. This pothole, must of been fuck ginormous and he hauling ass to flip the truck.

As for your girl problem. You need to learn man, it doesn't matter why women are crying just don't piss them off while they are. Even if you think it's stupid(which I would feel the same way you do) you have to just say 'its okay'. And hold her and whatnot. Better to keep your mouth shut on something like this, than have a huge fight about it.

Similar thing happened here...

Dumbass was smoking pot, had a fight with his girlfriend and thought it would be cool to drive real fast on a road... didnt catch a turn, went off the side and died.

People who didn't know the fucker cried... I personally didn't care. If I don't know them - I don't care. Some other girl died from drunk driving, oh well... her damn fault.

But meh, I guess it's different if you know the person well.

I hate this crap because people who never knew the person cry about it at school all day and then crowd the funeral. If this is one of your friends then it really pisses you off, there's nothing worse than people who never knew the guy acting like they were his best friend, crowding his funeral and just making it harder for friends and family.

I think, that the kid who caused the accident will, be in deep shit by the parents of the two kids whom died. He is 15, he can be tried for manslaughter, not murder because he did not intentialy do it, also the parents can sue that kid, because it would be classified as a tort law case, they could sue that 15 year old for punitve and monatary damages..

It sux that those two kids died, but that idiot shouldnt have beeen driving in the first place

Dude the post isn't about her... she's just a side issue that doesn't matter. I don't care that she's not talking to me, I'm pretty much to the point where I don't care about shit anymore. Like I said, it's a post about stupid people dying.

Also, the kid won't be tried for manslaughter if he doesn't make it out of the hospital alive, it's not looking good right now.

It kind of sucks to see anybody die, but then if it comes down to whether or not they deserve it, then... from what I know about this kid, he probably didn't deserve to die, but he did put his own life at risk by A.) letting an inexperienced driver that may or may not be suited to driving unaided drive him around and B.) riding around in the back of the pickup. Not that there is anything inherently wrong with those choices, but you have to consider the dangers and consequences for what may happen by making those choices. I suppose that was a risk he decided to take, and the outcome wasn't pretty.

True, however, it would be difficult for anyone to really take it that far. He would never go to jail for a number of reasons. One being the kid knowing he was 15 let him drive and two the kids in the back were standing up. So it would be really hard for to pin the kid with manslaughter b/c of all of the loophole technicalities.
