Help Please B16a Problem With Firing
OK, heres the situation, i just got my b16 out of the shop, a mistake, should have done it myself, but anyways, when i first got it i was firing on all cylinders, now i am not firing on the one that is on the drivers side. I checked this by pulling the wires off the dizzy one by one, this one had no effect. The first thing i did was to change the plugs, the one pulled from that cylinder was covered in shit. After the plugs were changed, i still was only firing on 3 cylinders, so i checked the wires, the resistance was acceptable. I pulled the plug again, and put a spark plug on the wire grounded it , and it sparked no prblem. The i realized that there is no fuel going into the cylinder, what do i do next? what do i check?
Thanks, Evan |

Re: Help Please B16a Problem With Firing
hmmm...if its getting no fuel in the cylindar then is probaly check the fuel injector, but thats just me thinking out loud.
Just move a know working fuel injector and put it in that position and see if it works, then if it does get a new fuel injector, otherwise you probaly have soething stuck in your fuel rail. |

Re: Help Please B16a Problem With Firing
check your ecu for codes. Thats usually an eazy way to figure out your problems.

Re: Help Please B16a Problem With Firing
check the no. 1 injector plug (plug farthest to the right). See if it is plugged in. Also, check for continuity from the resistor box to the injector, then check to see if the red/black wire going to that injector is recieving a 6 ohm resistance from the box.

Re: Help Please B16a Problem With Firing
I would do a compression creck of that cylinder also. You could possibly have a burnt valve. I had cylinder two not firing on my 91 HB and it ended up being a burnt valve. Just a thought.

Re: Help Please B16a Problem With Firing
