water in intake help

i removed the air silencer on my 98 stang. its lowered an 1" and i just noticed the filter is wet. isnt water supposed to stay away from the fenderwell.???? is there a bypass valve or anything i can get to fix this. i dont want water in my engine....


any help would be appreciated...

The vacuum from your engine isn't strong enough to suck water all the way up the intake hose. Don't worry to much about it.
