Rear window washer is not working
The rear window washer has suddenly stopped spraying (wiper blades work), but the motor can distinctly be heard running. I know that it's not a fuse, and I suspect that it's not electrical due to the motor running.
At times, a very small amount of fluid will drip out, but usually nothing at all happens when the motor is activated. There is plenty of fluid in the resevoir, and the front washer motor works fine. I've tried to unclog the nozzle, but I'm not sure how it disassembles (And I'm not sure if this would be the problem anyway). Is there an inline filter located somewhere that may be clogged? Or any other possible user fixable issues before bringing it to a shop? Thanks! |

It sounds that it is just plugged up. All I did was get a safety pin and stab the hole a couple of times. It worked for me. If a little bit of water comes out then just needs to be opened.

Not just plugged
I tried that. It didn't work. The motor runs, and there is the OCCASIONAL small amount of wiper fluid that comes out, but not much.
I was hoping that someone might know of a join in the hosing that could have come mostly undone, but I suspect that the pump may have gone bad (it runs, but doesn't generate any pressure). Any other ideas would be appreciated, but I guess that I can live without a rear window washer pump. I can only imagine what this will cost to repair. |
