Stereo system question
So I got another box for my car and it's 300 watts/2x8 subs and 2x2 highs. The amp I bought for it is 600 watts. With the amp cranked the box get fuzzy every once in a while(obviously). What would be the best setting for the amp to get the best sound out of the box wattage wise?
(If it matters, it's a kenwood amp) |

Re: Stereo system question
FYI: Speeker max wattage should be 75% of the amp max max out...
Ex. if you had 300 wat MAX RMS speeker box, then a 575 watt amp would be recommended. This is so that singnal clipping wont accure and dammage your speekers -- however this does mean that the sheer power of your amp CAN and WILL dammange your speekers if you crank it passt the 300 max ratting on your speekers. Speekers can sounds crappy for a couple of reassons, A Too much power ( watts ) .. (Humping/Thumping noises, as the speeker distorts) B Too little power -- No base ( bad quality ) c Bad input ... ( the stareo / cd player / radieo ) -- Anything within the audio stream Hope this helps! |
