Coming off the interstate today a guy was on my butt the whole way off the exit. I didn't like it so I dropped it down and hit the gas around the corner. I love how a Neon handles a corner. Anyway, around this corner there were cars stopped where there shouldn't have been. I didn't hit the car, but did hit the curb kinda hard with my front drivers tire.
Bent the rim but luckly didn't blow the tire. Now I have a bad shimmy in the steering. I'm hoping it's just the alignment thrown off alot, but am afraid it's something more. Anyone have any ideas? Oh and by the way, does anyone have a stock rim for a 95 they want to get rid of?

check your outer tie rod end . mine broke last week it was still the a stock one , i hit a few pot holes and it broke , luckily i was only doing a 3 point turn when it finaly fell off the ball joint., and i would get the car aligned. also i would get some fix-a-flat untill you get a new rim , there could be a few pin holes near the dent on the rim. check ebay for the stock rim. or you local junk yard.

The shimmy that you feel is more than likely due to your wheel being out of round! I dont know how bad you bent it but you should take it to a tire shop as quick as possible!!! It is very possible you will need an alignment as well!! I see this all the time at my shop!!

Re: A little crunch
Thanks for the advice. I changed it out with the back one today and the shimmy is all gone so luckly I don't think I did anything real serious. I am going to get the alignment checked anyway though. I did think of the out of round thing. After changing them around I don't feel anything from the back end though. I don't know. I did notice the balance weight is gone though so that is another cause.
