Re: where the heck are those kill stories???

A guy in town heres got the fastest lil rabbit i seen. He did a engine swap with a ford focus zx3 , put a greddy turbo and all intake exhaust manifolds , headers , pipes , cams , ultra light flywheel , triple plate clutch , sport shifter , upgraded fuel system cold air intake drive axles and much more. The engine is putting out around 400hp and with nitrous oxide its around 500hp.

Even though this forum's a month old---You got to be shitting me..400 hp in a rabbit--That is almost ridiculous. Must have been quite a project doing that kind of swap. Id like to see it run the 1/4 mile--would probably put many to shame. Not sure if i'd want to run the needle past 120 in such a little car, but it could definitely be done (assuming he's running the right tranny). Hope he has a roll bar/seat harness..!

Re: where the heck are those kill stories???

I have a low buck Rabbit. I dropped in a 2.0L 8v VW motor, with the work done to the motor, its putting out about 140hp to the wheels. It's gutted and I trimmed it to about 1850lbs. I took it to the strip and ran 16.2 sec. Not bad for a free Rabbit with 1800 dumped into the motor.

i was on the NYS thruway the other night coming back from syracuse. i was cruising around 70-75mph. in the right hand lane. about 10 miles from my exit i see this object in the road, and its moving. i let off the gas, and the object, which turns out to be a HUGE raccoon, moves into the left hand lane. i put my foot back on the accelerator but the little bugger decides he doesn't want to cross the road and scurries back into my lane! at this point i am basically threshhold braking, but its a little too late. racoon -1, front lip-0. i look in my rearview to see the poor guy fly up in the air in a ball. when he landed he wasnt moving . was that the type of kill story you were looking for?

btw, with a 2.0 in your rabbit you should def. get some better times. what were your 60' times and trap speeds? i would think you should run mid 15's with that setup...

okay.. i used to drive an 81 diesel rabbit... well i still have it but drive a different one. and i did try to race people... but to no avail. most of my best races... were the downhill ones... didnt loose by nearly as much as the up hill ones. OH yeahhh... that bad boy did 0-60 in 21 seconds. gotta love it. its nice to have an old beater just to trash the hell outta tho.. All my cars thus far have been worth less then 500$. wow i cant even imagine doing stuff to a rabbit. my speedo only went to 85... and if i ever got the car up to, well say 65, 70... the whole body would shake like crazy. the thing would fly all over the road. not much stability.

oh but back to the kill stories... lets see.. i dont want to tell any stories... but here are my kill counts that i accomplished with my rabbit...
(give or take a few)

1 raccoon
9-10 squirrels (yeah call me sick... its a bad habit)
1 cat
2-3 possums
1 bird
