Radical Group Shunned by Mainstream Environmentalists for Insult Campaign
Mainstream environmental organizations such as the Sierra Club and Environmental Defense rejected participation in an expensive and innane ad campaign consisting of personal insults.
In step backward for substance, the group that goes under the name "Bluewater Network" has opted out of discussions with a major automaker over fuel economy issues. Instead of working constructively with the manufacturer on public policy issues, the group, has launched an expensive ad campaign that consists of school yard-style name calling. The group provides no indication as to who is footing the bill.
