2000 Sierra 1500-"squeeking" noise

I recently purchased a 2000 Sierra 1500 ext. cab. It has 89000 miles on it. I notice a slight, for lack of a better way to explain it, "squeeking" sound after I put the truck in drive, but before any real torque is applied. The dealer says it is an inherent problem with the slip yolk and that they can take it apart and grease it or replace it. Hoping to find out from others out there if this is a logical explanation or if they have ever heard of that.
