Leaking Radiator
I have a problem. I was driving through town yestarday and I noticed my temp gauge going ape when I was stopped at traffic lights. I quickly pulled off into a parking lot and found my coolant very low and I could smell coolant as well. I noticed a wet spot on my radiator right at the top, about a foot to the right of the radiator cap. It appears that it has been leaking very slowly for possibly quite a while. Is it possible to fix this or am I going to have to buy a new radiator. I've been told not to use any leak stopping solution so I'm not sure what to do about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Leaking Radiator
I assume thats your 94-97 teg in your sig?? it is apparently very common for those years of tegs radiators to crack at the top, it usually happens somewhere betweent 75K and 100K. the top part of the radiator is plastic and the bottom is metal, so they dont get along to well and tend to crack around that time. the only real fix is a new radiator, get a new one from radiator barn for about 100 bucks. this happend to me about 4K ago at 83K miles.

Sure, I'll take a look at it. I just recently changed my friends radiator but that was on a Buick Roadmaster. Just a little different than an Integra. lol.

Re: Leaking Radiator
they are easy to change and are cheap!! DO NOT USE STOP LEAK!! This things wreak havoc on you cooling system. it's not worth it to use a stop leak, it will be cheaper in the long run to replace the radiator GOOD LUCK!

Re: Re: Leaking Radiator
What is the location of that site which can help you install the new radiator...I bought one and now all I need is to install it...Mine went bad on my 97 Integra at 63K?!?! A litlle early, but it seems to show the same symptoms and I already tried changing the thermostat.
