Where is my turn signal flasher???
I have a '89 Chevrolet Silverado 3/4 ton pickup. I've read through a number of threads here that talk about the turn signal flasher, but I can't find mine!! I've managed to find the hazard flasher right behind the fuse panel that's on the left side of the steering column. I've checked all over that general area, around the steering column and on the other (right) side as well and can't find the turn signal flasher. My turn signals are not working so I can't follow the sound to them.
Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks! |

While searching for my "interior lamp control module" I did find the flasher unit on my '98. I don't have the experience to know how different is an '89, but mine is plugged into a squarish panel in the area you describe just below the chimer (buzzer) module. It's a square module about 1" and has "combination flasher" or something similar written on the top.
Maybe your signals don't work because the module has gone awol??? Sorry I can't be of more specific help - Peter |

Re: Where is my turn signal flasher???
is your replacement circular or square? my circular was just to the right of the steering column. i took the vent out and went in under the steering column, and mine was plugged into a squarish panal like Pete's
