Am new to site, but am enjoying the info posted. My problem is with the windshield wipers on my 96 Town and Country Mini Van. It is an intermittent problem that's becoming more frequent. Turn the switch on for the intermittent setting, wipers may sweep once, or any number from 1 to 10. There have been times that I can't turn them off, they'll eventually stop themselves, often stopping in the middle of the windshield without, completing the sweep. I've replaced the switch with a used part from a 97 Grand Voyeger, problem solved for a period of months, and now it's starting all over again. Is this a common problem that others have experienced, and if so, the solution that cured the problem. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanx.

Re: 96 T&C windshield wiper problem
Early date stamped multifunction switches were a problem on these vans. Replace it with a new part or a known second generation used one. Can't remember what the date codes were!

Re: 96 T&C windshield wiper problem
Could also be the wiper motor itself as the mulitfunction switch was replaced on mine and the problem was still there , replaced the motor and haven't seen the problem again .
