I know this is quoted from some site, so I'm not blaming the poster, but does anyone else find that statement comical?

They go for about 100 new, 80 being on the cheap end. Dont forget that if you buy a 255 you really should buy a regulator too to lower base fuel pressure back to stock, and regain a linear fuel pressure curve. That adds at least 200 to the cost of the pump project. A 190 has run low 11s, and doesnt usually require a reg, FYI.

I just got my 255HP for 160 CDN shipped to my door, from SBR via their canadian distrubutor RTM Racing in Ontario.
