1985 Porsche 911 Carrera

I just got a partially built 1985 Porsche 911, a Fujimi kit in a Testors box. The body came already painted a dark metalic brown (which doesn't look that bad actually). But two things I'm looking for:

1. What color should I paint it? I'd say red, but I already have a red 944, a white 911 Slantnose Convertable, and a black 911 Turbo. I'm leaning towards burgandy with a black interior.

2. Does anyone have any good reference pics of the engine?

Thanks!

Re: 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera

I say paint it red!!

I own a 1986 Carrera. The '85 and the '86 are practically identical. I could take some pics of the whole car for you and put them on a CD. Its guards red with a black interior. PM me if you are interested.

Huh that sounds sharp, was that color combo available in '85? Otherwise I think I will paint it Guards Red with black interior; although It'll be identical to the 944, they could look good together like than

p9o1r1sche, I mainly just need pics of the engine, suspension, and under the hood, certainly not enough to go to the trouble of burning and mailing a CD over. My main concerns are the colors to use on the engine and the plumbing and wiring.

I believe the kit is identical to the one here, though mine came in a Testors box:

It's a very nice kit and I want to do it right

I'll try to get some pics in the next couple of days. The weather is cloudy here, so I'll try to pick a time when the light is good.
