Power Window Problems

Hello,

I have an oldsmobile cutlass cruiser with power windows. I can use all of the windows fully from their own respective switches, but the driver window does not roll down, and the controls do not roll down or up any of the other windows. I have to reach over to roll the windows down.

I would really love to be able to roll down the driver side window because the temperature is reaching 98, and its only may, is there something I can do to right this problem? Any solutions for manually rolling down the window?

Try to check the Power Window Circuit breaker on the Component Center. It is usually located in the passenger side kick panel and near the fuse box.
On my 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 3.1L V6, the component center has this relay/circuit break order.
The top are the Rear Window Defrost Relay, Hazard Flasher, Chime Module.
The bottom are the High-Blower relay, Low-Blower relay, Rear Window Defrost Circuit breaker, Power Sear/Door Lock/ Antenna circuit breaker, Power Window circuit breaker, two more circuit breaker.

This happened to me once. The wires that supply the switch are probly damaged. Pull the panel and test the live wire (should be hot pink) to see if it has current. if not and your fuses are fine, then the power wire in your door has snapped. Open your door and slice open the rubber tube gasget that houses the wires lengthwise, then locate the offending wire and splice it back together.
