Re: My new civic

I think it should be the same from 2001 onwards. I dont thinik anything else was changed that much except for the face lift of the headlights and the tail lights. everything is basically the same.

As for after market accessories, there should be more coming out soon. Give it a little more time. 7th generation civics is kinda new to the market and not much available aftermarket accessories are available, but there are a few out there.

Well aside from looking deep into what they have changed, I can tell you that if you go to order pullies for the 02 the ones made for a 01 will not fit on the alternator. They changed from a 3 ribbed pully on the 01 to the 02 being a 5 ribbed belt. I learned that the hard way .

DX and LX should be the same, only difference as far as I know is the power everything the LX has. But for the EX, engine is different of course, SOHC VTEC. But besides that, everything should be more or less the same.

Good thing about 7th gens is that you could fit a K20 in there easily. Just $600 motor mounts from Hasport is all you need (well ,that was the price when I inquired in a local tuner shop near our area). No other modifications are needed according to the shop I asked.

Re: My new civic

Value Package I think is a DX which has some of the features of an LX. Like A/C and a Radio. Its something like the "in-betweens" of the DX and LX.

Re: My new civic

yea, i got power steering, a/c, and a cd player. wow. so i guess that is cool, the only thing i don't like its the brown interior parts like the dash and the tops of the door panals.
