I am no expert by any means but i have learned that the basics would be to lower compression with a thicker head gasket and get some low compression pistons. then get some really strong connecting rodds ...usually the cause for engine blow outs. get some colder spark plugs to avoid predetonation. sense you want to rebuild eng you must really be planning to be pushin some psi... so i would say get a better fuel pump fuel rail injectors. and to ignite it all i would get better spark wires and distributor and as i mestioned earlier better spark plugs.(sense you will be cramming twice the air and fuel in than its designed for)
