Auto to Standard on a '95 Bird

Ive got a loaded 95 LX 4.6L V8 and its my first automatic car, and I hate it. I wanna put a manual tran into it, but I dont know if this is feasable or cost effective. Im just a kid who likes to play with cars, however I still wanna try and do this, Ill get the manual etc, but is it possible?

Ive heard a Stang t45 fits well in a tbird, this true?

If not, ne suggestions?

Re: Auto to Standard on a '95 Bird

You can't get a 95 thunderbird Lx with a 5 speed, but you can get a mustang with a 5 speed. You can also get a thnderbird sc with a 5 speed you will need parts from both of these in order to make it work. The reason I haven't done it is the cost.

If you have the money go for it!!!!!!!!

Go to tccoa t-45 tranny swap and look at all that is involved. It is a fairly decent step by step. Some people have done it and some of those who have will tell you it is way too much effort.

Amen hammrgead35

heck if you really want the V8 it would be easier to do a motor swap in a super coupe than changing the tranny.
