Question 18" rims on a 97 Tiburon?

Does anyone have 18" rims on their stock 1st or 2nd generation Tiburon? I am looking at an awesome set of Lexani Zelous 18x7.5 - 114.3 bolt pattern and a 42 offset. I will probably have to go with a 215/35/18 tire. If you have 18" rims send me a pic at [email protected]

1. nobody will answer your questions through email. if you want help, atleast take the time to check back here, as answering through email takes longer.

2. 18" rims on a tiburon will look stupid, and will be destroyed if you tap a pebble, cause your tire MIGHT be as thick as a rubber band. not to mention they will be super heavy and rob you of a lot of power. extra rotational mass will KILL your acceleration. go for a set of 16s. they are light, look pretty good in our small wheel wells, and are more durable.

3. here ya go....you even posted there.

Re: 18" rims on a 97 Tiburon?

I bought the car new in 97 and want give it a different look. I am getting tired of the stock appearance.
I am looking for honest opinions of those who have actually put 18" rims on their Tib, not Stupid unrelated posts of people who think they know it all.
So,if there is anyone out there who has or had 18's on their 97 thru 02 Tiburon please reply.

youre a funny person. stupid, but funny.

first off, no 02 tiburon.

second off, i told you i thought 18s were stupid as my opinion, but i did give you a huge search i took time to do for you(took a while too, hp.com's search is SLOWW) that i guess you failed to miss. i really dont know how to make it any easier for you. so check my first post again, or would you rather me feed it to you on a spoon?

well, i can assure you that MAYBE there is one person on this whole board that has 18 inchers on a RD1 tib. and he has prolly posted 3 times total.

what do you want to know about them? i could photochop a picture of 18 inch wheels on a tib. do you only want pictures, or do you want to know potential problems with them?

Re: 18" rims on a 97 Tiburon?

I want to see what they look like on a real Tib and discuss the fit and any problems that thay may have with the 18's.
I will most likely go to a local dealer for a test fit if I cannot find someone who actual has them.
Tibby01, I appreciate the fact that you are trying to help.
