Slow Coolant Leak -- Any ideas?
2000 Odyssey
It has a very slow coolant leak -- so slow that the overflow drops just an inch or two in about a month of driving. I bought some dye and put it in the coolant -- then drove it for a week -- and looked as well as I could with a UV light. I can't find it. The smell is unmistakeable -- doesn't seem to be the heater core b/c I can smell it under the hood. (oil is clear and exhaust shows no sign of coolant) I've followed the hoses around and inspected them with no luck. It's annoying, especially b/c when we're driving with the heat on, we can smell it. I don't like the idea of my twin daughters breathing it. Any ideas on how to find this? Think the shop would find it with a pressure test? Thanks. Mike |
