custom car contest:93 mustang cobra

this will be a rebuild project that i will do minor mods to like shaveing door handels and moulding the bumpers to the body and filling some other lines, i will graft one of the two scoops from a 96 mustang cobra to the hood also will trash the 5.0 302 for a 4.6 96 cobra motor. and maybee the 96 cobra wheels and tires. i may fill the fog light hole's in the front bumper, or just fill one of them and leave the other for an intake hole. i dont have pics as of yet but i will post pics of inprogress work later tonight as i will be up almost all night. suggestions are welcome. i will also post pics of wheel choices.

Robert.

im going to start cutting the hood tommarow, and then sand the putty and put the first coat of primer on it. the color will be a silver blue with a silver pearl fade from bottom to top. if i use the veilside rims should i extend the rear fenders since the rear wheels have a huge dish??

those are the veilside rims, you cant tell from the pics but the rear wheels have a very large dish. almost half the tire sticks out the side of the car.

You really should use two of those scoops, that one, maybe if you sat it further to the left side, off the middle hump, it would look like a turbo intlet.

here it is in primer, it still needs the door handels refilled as the brake fluid stripped the putty out. also here is what the hood looks like so far. please comment.

Re: custom car contest:93 mustang cobra

just a quick idea for you! u said u have a hard time with putty? might come from the type you are useing. i use Bondo spot and glazing putty. u can find it a walmart or at your local auto parts. it sands easier, and from past experiences it shrinks in time. go with the bondo. i never heard of useing brake fluid to strip paint. does it work well?
