Torsion bars

Okay more research here i was looking on Calmini's site what is the difference in the torsions bars they offer. 27mm extreme duty torsion bars and CALMINI Super Duty Torsion Bars 4340 alloy steel. and are they better than what nissan is offering in their aftermarket torsion bars.

Re: Torsion bars

Calmini only has one torsion bar for the Xterra, AFAIK? Were you looking at Xterraparts and comparing the NISMO bars with Calmini? The NISMO bars are the same as SWAY-A-Way bars that you may find elsewhere, and are what most people who don't have a Calmini lift are using. The Calmini bars are comparable and seem to offer about the same performance. Either one will work well for you and I doubt you'd be able to tell any difference on or offroad between them. The most importnat thing is that they get installed correctly and you use Bilstien shocks with them! Speaking of which, if you are getting the Calmini lift and haven't ordered it yet, you might want to wait a couple weeks. Calmini is supposed to start offering their lift with Bilstien shocks sometime this month. Great news for lift buyers!

Anyway, the only bars that may offer a significant difference in performance are the SLR bras, but they are $100 more and I don't know anyone who is using them. Hard to compare that way!
