Thumbs up

Yes, they're "worthy". It's a good feeling when you're offroading and you hear a loud clunk, realising it's the skids and not something that's going to cost $$$ or leave you stuck.

You'll have to get a good drill bit, and by the time you're done installing them, you'll be very familiar with the underside of your truck, but it can be done in an afternoon.

I bought mine after getting hung up on a big ass stump between my transfer case and crossmember. I spent 3 hours trying to get out of that situation, and bought my skids soon after.

The only thing I would add is that the front skid bolts can take some damage. Check out my SLR mod for a possible solution.

Worth every penny...

At the very least I think that people off-roading should get the gas tank skid. The fatory one is a joke and will not take much punishment.

I have a full set and as Schuld has mentioned you get to know the different sounds when wheeling. The nice skid plate noise and the oh $hit that was my diff sound

Yeah they are worth as Schlud and Jamie said! I took mine off last weekend and saw all kinds of bangs and scrapes on them! Worth the money Only two holes to drill up front.

You must not have the full set Rick. There are more than 2 holes to drill.

You can install them anywhere. Driveway, garage, etc.

Helpful tools - floor jack and a jack stand. The floor jack is a necessity to hold the plate up while fitting - unless you have someone who can hold one up for an extended period.

Righto - Ill get some cash and order some. I think I want the Transfer Case plate first and then go with the front ones and do the gas tank last. I'd rather deal with a busted tank than a busted TC. Ill cover it all up eventually though.

Ive got jacks and stands galore so Ill give it a go!

Schlud your right I was only thinking about the front one! I need to get that welder and tack those two nuts in place in front! Trying to reach through the ARB w/Fabrtron skid is a PIA!
