Hi,
I know that in 4-wheel mode, I should get some wheel hop/chirping if on dry ground. However, even on ice...my truck feels like I'm driving on square tires when in 4-wheel drive! This is anything more than 1/4 turn too. I have 35" tires, 5:13 gears, 6"lift, camper (Alaskan Telescoping), 6.2L Turbo Diesel (Banks). I'm thinking that maybe because of the gears it's the ususal problem - just exagerated in this case. I think that is really a huge stretch - but a thought anyway..... Ideas? Thanks, Bryan |

Re: '84 3500 1Ton 4x4 - Steering VERY jerky - help!
Thanks for the reply...
This may sound bad, but I don't "think" I have a posi in the front. You would think that I would know for sure... All steering components are tight, I drove with hubs unlocked today - no problem. It is definitely when in 4-wheel. Even in sand, or deep snow - I can't go more than maybe 5 mph with more than 50% turn...or else I'll break something for sure! Need to find a suspension specialist too - as I think the suspension is tired, and may also be agrevating it. There is always something to fix :-) Thanks again! Quote:
