Unhappy stock remote

Need help! Stock remote will not open/close door locks, or trunk .
It is not the battery. Have second remote, it does not respond to it either. Help if you can. Thanks

Re: stock remote

Maybe they need to be reprogrammed. You may want to try that.

Re: stock remote

Try to syncrhonize the remote to your car.
1. stand next to the car, or in the car and hold down the lock and unlock buttons at the same time for about 30 seconds.

This should synchronize your remote to the car receiver.

2. If the above didn't work, you will need to re-program your remotes to the car. Do a search on programming the remotes, there is a thread on this board with those instructions already. When you find it, print them out, you will not be able to remember them.

Good luck

Re: stock remote

I would do the reprograming anyway. After you find the thread, the process itself is not that complex. If that does not work then most probably would be the reciever that is located behind the trip computer on the dash board
