Wire Resistance too High?

Was checking my stock spark plug wires cuase im having a black smoke issue. I have a old multimeter, if thats the name of it. For resistance it has 5 settings 2000k 200k 20k 2000 and 20, i was checking them on 2000k, why i dont know, was the first i picked. 3 wires were between 14 and zero, the 4th wire was like 300-400, couldnt get a stable number. Is this wire bad. d15b7
