Question Drift King

Hey everybody. Keiichi Tsuchiya is the drift king as you all know already. Even though I have only seen him in person once, he still is very important to me, because he is partly responsible for the reason why I have dreams to be a professional racer. I was wondering if anybody knows a way we can talk to him, like fan mail or something. Its probably true that he'd get annoyed by all of his fans and stuff, but even so, is there any way we can get to talk to him? (Besides going to D1 and talking to him. Cuz not many of us speak japanese.) He is pretty much my god, so itd be really cool if anyone knew a way to contact him.

Also, because I am going to D1, I wanted to know if there is any formal way to talk to japanese people in a way of respect. Like in spanish I think you refer to people as Usted or something, or like with Grandparents you say something like Don or Dona. I think you say their last name and then add San or something in japanese. Id like to know because if I meet any of the drivers I want to at least be able to show respect. Thanks everyone.

Re: Drift King

I know that he host' BMI, some Option episodes, owns Hot Version mag. and is one of the founders of D1 Grand Prix... maybe trying to contact one of these can get you a Fan Club address... 'cus I'm sure there is one. However, don't get all giddy on me yet... actually talking to him outside an event is probaby as hard as trying to talk to any other celebrity! But don't let that stop you 'cus he is your idol and all... just don't stalk him! See you at D1!

Re: Drift King

to get him out to an event not sponsored by Option, you have to pay him around $300,000 per day.

Re: Drift King

yea so hes not that special anyways, there are plenty of guys better than him, the only reason hes called the drift king is cuz he was one of the first ones to do it noticably and because he can do it in all of the popular drift cars, most drivers can only do it in a few cars because of the different handlings of each car. your acting like a backstreet boys fan, hes just a person that happens to be good at drifting, I'm sure he'd like to be left alone on his free time

hes video 'drift bible' has some pretty good info and advice, I've watched it 3 times now and have figured out some stuff that was holding me back, I'd recommend it if you want to learn some new things, but don't go crazy thinking hes the best drifter in the world

Re: Drift King

yeah... there were people doing it (drift) way before him. he was noticed swinging his rear around during his early pro racing... thus he became the 'drift-king'! he drifted during all his races. He's a racer who drift's! BUT... D1GP pros are more drift-oriented and many can DRIFT way better than the king...

Re: Drift King

Keiichi can drift any car... and his analytical and driving skills are superb and well respected in the Japanese automotive industry. I respect him more for his experience, knowledge and how he can dissect a car over his skills for drifting.

Oh yeah, he can beat anyone in the touge with his 86

Re: Drift King

Yeah... the Kei Office Silvia... but I thought it was an S15? I just seen a video where he raced an NSX against his own Kei Office Silvia on the touge... of-course, Keiichi won in the NSX... but would the outcome be different if he was driving the Silvia?

Re: Drift King

Oh... you're talking about the white S14 in the DRIFT-BIBLE! I'm talking about the Blue Kei-Office S15 that is in almost every BMI video during the TOUGE battles... bad-ass!
