hmm... heres a techy question.. i got a 2003 civic coupe dx.... which basically means that the 2001 and higher are pretty much all the same..i finished the exterior looks now i am working on the engine.. got the CAI now i run in to the exhaust problem.... in the DX and i think the LX model also has the CAT mounted on the header instead after the downpipe like in the EX... now if i was to buy EX headers and EX cat back exhaust that would mean the CAT would be relocated to the underside of the car instead of the headers....i guess you could say it would like an exhaust conversion... now is that possible like in a direct bolt-on replacement and which means just moving the sensor or does it require more.. i also worried about the sensors cause it has 2 sensors unlike my crx which only has 1...???? any clues...suggestions???

Re: 2001+ dx exhaust to ex exhaust conversion
Purchase the header and exhaust for the EX, then go with an aftermarket cat. I recommend Carsound. Then go to an exhaut shop and have them weld in 02 bungs in roughly the same place as the factory ones were.

hey... but wouldnt the EX already have the holes for the 02 sensors but just located in a different area... because the DX and EX are literally(almost anywayz) the same with the same amount of sensors just in different places... well.. with the exception of the vtech of course

That post made me wanna go make a phone call....
Its VTEC not Vtech Vtech my friend, is a electronics company, an electronics company that produces very shitty phones that have no resemblance to a Honda motor.
