2 Questions not about performance parts (wow)
Hey, newbie here, got a 92 240sx coupla months ago. Lotsa helpful info in performance stuff, but I got 2 simpler questions. 1) Can you buy factory radio mounting brackets anywhere for my car? 2) I wanna take off that long thin plastic sticker/stripe on the outside that stretches from the front end all the way to the rear and the nissan sticker on the back. What's the best way to do this without messin up the paint, if possible?

Re: 2 Questions not about performance parts (wow)
im assuming ur talking about that black one....i just painted over mine...looks fine and i got rid of that little body line from the upperfender, through door handle. to rear fender. It looks good with that line gone and the black stripe the same color as the car.
dont no about the radio brackets though. |

dude!!!!!! Are u F##n serious! Peal it off!!! U never pealed anything off before?? sticker on an apple anything like that? wtf!! I can’t believe that u asked such a question!! Be gentle and it will come off with out no problems. (Pick up the edge of the line and start pulling it off slowly that’s called pealing) I never roasted any one before on this website, I don’t know a allot about 240, I’m still learning, but pealing off a sticker??? And actually asking for help is buy far ridicules and a waste of time, AND no! don’t paint on it plz that is just laziness. For the radio bracket go to the junkyard plenty should be there…

Re: 2 Questions not about performance parts (wow)
Circuit city... bestbuy... good guys... lots of places online sell universal mounting kits for the 240sx. Cost is around 10-20 bucks.
For the stripe, maybe a heatgun or hair dryer on hot to loosen that adhesive would help. I tried just peeling it off and the stripe just broke off so that job isnt as obvious or easy as you'd think. After peeling it, use something like goo-gone to clean up any leftover adhesive. |

you can use you drivers license to peel of that pinstripe, and use a blow dryer to warm it up if you live in a relatively cold area, and pull slowly

Re: 2 Questions not about performance parts (wow)
haha, AWDSR20, yeah i know it sounds like a stupid question but it really isn't if you've ever tried to do it cuz the last time i did it, spots of paint came off with the stripe. I don't want that to happen again for my 240, specially cuz the car is old and the strip is really stuck on fast. I'll check the junkyard, but I doubt i'll find what i'm lookin for.
