Exclamation What can I use on the Si ?

So heres the low down...

I will have access to free, or at least CHEAP Si parts from someone that is buying a swap off me. He has a 93 Si and asked if I wanted any of it. Heres what I was looking at getting

Intake Manifold
Head
Header
ECU + VTEC solenoid

Will that be everything I need to drop the head and what not onto my block? Or will I also need the Si wiring harness (I thought I heard some place that the wires are already there for VTEC you just gotta have the ECU and solenoid to make it work... or will I need the wire harness? Just looking for a fun little project ~ sounds fund if yah ask me *grins* what does anyone know about this?

The wiring is NOT wired from the fender to the ECU. I don't believe that the harness (from the D15) has the vtec wire, either. If you get the head... it should include the solenoid and everything that you need (except for wiring). SOMEONE HELP ME OUT HERE: I think that you need to tap into the block or something to move oil to the spool valve? I think that you will also want the ECU.

What year Si head? I would recommend the same generation.

Hahaha, well it would be sorta hard to drop a B series head onto a D series block. Its the same generation, both vehicles are 1993...

since he's swapping, just take the whole motor+tranny. The head won't be worth it without the tranny(trust me)....as for the vtec wiring, only 1992 came with the vtec already wired up...
