18in rims, and tire quest.

He everyone. my friend gave me some 18 in motegi mr8s.

What would be the tire size that would fit the best. They are in 18in rims, 7.5 in wide, and my car isnt lowered? Thanks everyone.

Even though your car isn't lowered, 18's on our little 4g's (and yeah, 2g CRX's) are HUGE! Everyone I know up here with 18's has 215/35-18's. The sidewall is about 1-1/2", so you're gonna want to be really careful around potholes, cracks in the pavement, etc...

It's gonna look like a monster truck or an AWD rally car if you dont lower it, lol. Yeah my car is lowered approximately 1.5".

ya, you pretty much have to lower it if your going to go with 18s, I know a guy who has 17's on a 90 DX hatch, not lowered, and it looks strange , but if its lowered it looks ok......but 15s look better, IMO

Worshp has 18's on his lowered CRX & they don't rub. The 18" rims with 35 series tires are about the same size as 17's with 40's. I didn't have a problem with rubbing when I had my 17's...

Re: 18in rims, and tire quest.

Hey i have another question. If i put these on without my car being lowered. How high are the wheels going to jack it up?? Cause i dont want it to be like 90civicracer said "a monster truck or all terrain vehicle.
Thanks

Re: 18in rims, and tire quest.

But the width of the tire is more...215 compared to 205 so on turns the inside may rub. Not sure but im just saying.
