Rough riding at 30+ MPH

Hey-

Does anyone know what would cause this problem,

when you hit about 30 MPH there is just a huge loud grinding sound coming from the engine, i tried trans. fluid but with no luck, the faster you drive the louder it gets, when you hit about 70 the whole care starts shaking hard.

Has anyone else seen this or have ideas?

thanks

You don't say what kind of car you have, but from what you described, it sounds like bad wheel bearings. Does it sound like a roaring noise? Does the sound get faster as well with the speed of the car? (Kind of like when you put a card in a bike tire to make noise) See if the noise is coming from the front or rear of vehicle. It may also be something as simple as a tire problem. Swap the front and rear tires and see if the noise gets better or changes from front or rear

Sorry-

Its a 2001 Nubira SE, yeah the sound gets faster as the faster you go, louder... and about 70+ MPH the whole care shakes hardcore. And yes its like a deep roaring noise.

How much is it to repair a bad wheel bearing?
