Re: ungo remote starter and alarm

lemmie get this straight... you got an alarm and you are putting in another relay for a remote start? you should try to find out what kind of alarm you have, and find a distributor/dealer. this is an eclipse forum, not an unknown aftermarket alarm forum [not trying to be rude]

Re: ungo remote starter and alarm

like i said [not trying to be rude] but we are at a loss without info!!! you are leaving out crucial info. as far as i know every alarm has relays that connect to certain wires that control functions of the car. when the relay on the alarm fires, it activates the said accsessory as if the car was doing it, i.e. locks, auto-start, whatever. did you rip out the unit yet? is the alarm able to accept another accessory relay? do you have a stick [you may have to disable the clutch/starter kill button, and make sure you leave it in neutral when you get out or else when you remote start it, well, you get it...]. do you know anything about installing alarms? or have you ever installed a stereo [similar]? is the brand name UNGO? i really meant that you should try to contact a dealer about it. have you even looked on the VFAQ? try looking in the electronics section. again, not trying to be rude, just want to help. and the forum thing was a joke...

People that don't know what they are doing need to take their car to someone who does. Same thing with a tranny, if you don't know what you are doing.. don't do it. If you suck at electrical and can't figure out what to do from the instructions, you don't need to be "installing the system from scratch" I don't care if you think it's rude. You gave no info as to what alarm is being installed, even if someone was nice enough to help you.

Most people don't do everything themselves, and there's a reason. Not everyone can do everything themselves. get some help.

Re: ungo remote starter and alarm

The viper dealer here says viper hasn't made (this was a few months ago) a manual transmission auto start yet that they will put their name on, due to some obvious problems. Maybe it's just here though.

boosted you don't live here though It sucks to have to take out a broom, get the snow off your car, warm it up (or wake up early) and not be late. That's my morning

Dude, I am with everyone else. Take that UNGO POS and throw it in the trash. I wouldn't use it as a paper weight!

with the manual tranny you just have to remove the clutch sensor so that you dont have to push it in to start it... all i did was hook the wires up to my e-brake so when it is up the car can start and when it is down i cant use the remote start. i like it a lot!
