On a 95 s10 Blazer I've been having bad heatercore problems I have now changed 6 different heatercores in the past 3 months. They just keep on leaking, I have tried many different types of heatercores like AcDelco and many other well known brands, nothing cheap. Are there any tips or tricks or some sort of additives to help solve this problem or I'm I just S.O.L. Thanks..JR

There's just no way it's the cores each time.
Either the hoses are bad going to/from the core, or your coolent system is so bad, it's braking these cores. Do you replace your coolent every year?? If not, have you ever got it flushed? Also, have your ever heard of BARS stop leak?? If not, it's a really nifty product that you put into your cooling system and everyone should know about it IMO. It will fill any small leak within the system. For the record, most auto manufactures put BAR stop leak into their auto's right off the production line. It's to fill in the small gaps with a brand new engine (leaky headbolts is common in a new engine),radiator, heater core. |

Re: Bad HeaterCore Problem
Cooling sys has been flushed several times, all hoses in good shape. Also used moroso's all weather sealer, it's supposed to be Industrial strenght, well supposly. Don't matter if I put a new heatercore it will leak it might sound funny but it will. Remember this going to be the 6th time. I'll give BARS a try!!!
