I need to get my facts straight...

I'm car inclined... really I am... but the only experience I've had with 240s is the pathological liar who doesn't really know anything... and you guys. And I trust you guys a LOT more.

180sx is the japanese equivalent of the 240 correct?

Because all I've heard out of him is "No, the 200sx is the equivalent of the 240 and this and that blah blah blah" besides the fact that I've seen 200sx's... I just need to know.

Re: I need to get my facts straight...

ok let do the basic, the 240sx hatch here in usa is the 180sx in japan. The 240sx coupe here(we are talking about the year 89-94) is the silvia in japan. I think this is also in the FAQ thread. Anyways, the 200sx here in usa, is no where else lol. The 200sx in europe, is the same as the 240sx in usa. Get it??

Re: I need to get my facts straight...

180sx (japan) = 200sx (europe) = 240sx (america)

it's pretty easy

Re: I need to get my facts straight...

Time to throw a spanner in the works.

In NZ, we get the 200SX AND the 180SX AND The Silvia.

The S14 and S15 NZ models are labelled 200SX (for the SR20). Some 180SXes come here as 200SXes (SR20 again), and then we also get the Jap import models under JDM names.

Confused yet?

S12 Silvia in Japan = 200SX in North America (until the late '80s)
S13 Silvia in Japan = 240SX Coupe in North America, but does it equal 200SX in Europe? this is the only one i'm unsure of.
180SX in Japan = 240SX in North America = 200SX in Europe/New Zealand
S14 Silvia in Japan = 240SX (S14 model) in North American = 200SX in Europe/New Zealand
S15 Silvia = 200SX in Europe and New Zealand
new 200SX in North America = nothing in other countries i don't think...but it's basically a 2-door FWD Sentra.

jeez...that's alot of mixing and mashing to memorize.

Yeah, but for one wonderful year we got the sileighty, which is basically the RPS13 with the standard PS13 front facia. Way cool...

Then they disappeared.
