starter problems

i am replacing the starter but i forgot where the wires go. i can find no pics on the web and descriptions just say to make sure you properly reconnect the wires....please help.

Re: starter problems

First, a model,make,year and engine would help answer this question. But ,if its an older M/C with a small block, the wires with the big hole in the terminals go on the big starter post,the small wire (purple?) goes to the "s" terminal on the solonoid. If you have a real old M/C you may have another small wire that attaches to the "r" terminal on the solonoid. If you hook the small wires up backwards the car won't turn over,but it will not hurt anything.
