Hi. I wonder if anyone out there can help me out. I just bought a 92 T-Bird at an auction for pretty cheap. Well, I saw that it was running at the auction and at the time I didn't hear anything, but after I paid, I noticed a faint knock which gradually got louder. On a short drive home, it continued knocking. When I would accelerate, it would jerk and sometimes not accelerate at all. When I started it the next day to check it out, it sounded like a school bus - loud and rumbling. I know I bought the car as is and I can't get my money back. Anyone know what the problem could be? I hear the headgaskets blow on T-Birds all the time. Could this be it? How much might it cost to get fixed?
