Mid-Size SUVs Get Safer

Eight of Nine mid-sized SUVs won the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's highest safety rating in their new high-speed crash tests. The Institute's Chief Operating Officer said that "the high ratings reflect significant changes in design since the institute began testing midsize SUVs in 1996." Clearly, SUV designs are improving without additional government regulation.

I TOTALY AAGREE WITH YOU. THINK 10-15 YEARS AGO AND THINK ABOUT THE SUVS NOW DAYS. SOME OF THE FEATURES ARE THE TRACTION CONTROL, SIDE AIR BAGS, ROLL OVER ASSISTANCE AND THE RIGID STRUCTURE OF THE MID SIZE SUVS.
