can you upgrade toys r us trucks?

My brother in law bought my daughter a rc truck from toys r us for her on x-mas. can you add a different motor to these to make them faster? The truck is a Fast Lane 4X4 toyota truck, powered by a 9.6 V battery pack 27MHz. Any help would be nice on this. Thanks!

Re: can you upgrade toys r us trucks?

Actually, you can, but it just isnt worth it most of the time. Radio crap sells other 380 sized motors that make good RPM, but still dont make much power, if you are desperate, you can go there and you should be able to get a different motor. as a warning, this has a strong chance to fry your electronics by drawing more amps through the system, then what it was designed for, so be warned if you do that.
