Help finding type of motor I have please

I have recently bought an 89 crx hf and it came with an extra engine that was striped down to be rebuilt. I do not know how to run the numbers on the block. They are pm 31 F10054. Is this block out of another HF and if so am I correct that it would not be wourth the investment to rebuild.

take a look at the engine code on the block. its located where the tranny bolts to the block on the exh side. sounds to me though its not an hf block but i cant be sure. the hf engine code will be d15b6.
