MTV's Real World "underage drinking"

Watching MTV's real world I noticed the ages of some of the cast members and most are not 21 so how do they get away from "contributing to the delinqency of a minor" Around here you could go to jail for such an offense, and they glorify it for better ratings. Are there any laws being broken in California about this?

Who cares? It's not like underage drinking is uncommon. And I'm pretty sure the cops are paid off. And I don't know anyone who has been arrested for drinking underage. Just MIP's.

Re: MTV's Real World "underage drinking"

Well, if its a Real World in just about any country EXCEPT America, the drinking age is usually around 18.

In Germany, the beer drinking age is at 16, and hard liquor is at 18.

Hm it seems to be very hard in the USA with all that laws and what not.
I live in Germany so I'm enjoying it to go out with my friends and have a couple of drinks. The Police is very easy going here. They tell us to be carefull and that we shouldn't overdo it.Well ok sometimes the cops are assholes and send you home but that happens not that often.I'm 16 btw.

Re: MTV's Real World "underage drinking"

As SilverLotus said, I believe you can drink, as long as its inside their home. I was told by a waitress at a private party with parents permission I could drink, and it would be perfectly legal.

Can't the verb still be after "ich"? Like, can't it be: Ja ich kann Deutsch sprechen? Or is that only with denn and weil clauses?
